Orbit and Beyond is a 3D solar system exploration game packed with stunning visuals and cool facts. As the creative lead, I helped shape the game’s look, feel, and user experience, while collaborating with stakeholders and developers to bring everything together.
Strategy & Planning
I kicked things off by chatting with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to get a clear picture of the game’s goals. After identifying key objectives, I worked with the developers to figure out what was technically possible. I pitched design ideas with mockups to get final approval and made sure everyone was on the same page about the vision for the game.
UI Design & User Experience
Designing the UI was a balancing act between making it visually exciting and easy to use. I tested the game with friends and family to spot pain points and refine the experience. Working with limited resources, I focused on creating an interface that was both intuitive and engaging, while making sure the game was still fun to play.
UI Art & Accessibility
I teamed up with developers to create a UI that was both beautiful and functional. We made sure the game was accessible, with features like text-to-speech, keyboard navigation, and image tagging for screen readers, so everyone could enjoy the game no matter their abilities.
